ABC Coloring Pages: Alphabet Coloring Sheets A–Z
Choose a letter or the whole alphabet; each page has a big outline letter and a picture to color.
How to print alphabet coloring pages
- Under Letter, choose one letter for a single page, or All 26 letters (A to Z set) for one page per letter in order. For the whole alphabet in one go, you can also press the quick style Full A–Z pack (26 pages), which sets the letter option and the page count to 26.
- Under Letters, keep Capital and small (Aa) or pick Capital only (A).
- Under Page settings, set Paper to US Letter or A4, and Orientation to Portrait or Landscape.
- Choose a Line weight: Thick suits young children and markers, while Thin suits colored pencils and fine detail.
- Press Print to print only the picture pages, one picture per sheet, or press Download PDF to save every page in one file.
New design (or the N key) redraws the background decoration when one is chosen. Copy link saves a web address that holds your settings and design number, so the same sheet opens again later. Download PNG saves page 1 as an image of 2550 × 3300 pixels for US Letter.
To change the look, pick a Background (None, Dots, Stars or Hearts), switch the Caption style between outline letters and plain text, or choose the Chunky or Rounded letter style. Add a name line puts a ‘Name: ____’ line at the bottom for school use.
How do I print the whole alphabet at once?
The sheets follow one simple rule: one letter, one page, in alphabetical order. The alphabet has 26 letters, so a 26-page set holds exactly one page for each letter, with none left out and none repeated. Printing or downloading that set gives you the whole alphabet in one job.
Which picture goes with each letter?
Each letter has one fixed picture from a list of 26 that starts with that letter. The list runs from A Apple and B Ball through to Y Yo-yo and Z Zebra. Two entries are worth knowing: Q shows a queen drawn as a crown, and X is a xylophone. Because the pictures are tied to their letters, the same letter always brings the same picture.
Can I show only capital letters?
Yes. Under Letters, choose Capital only (A) instead of the default Capital and small (Aa). The Chunky letter style has capital letters only: with Capital and small (Aa) the big letters always use the Rounded style, and Chunky is used for the caption.
How can I use alphabet coloring pages to teach letters?
Several simple habits make the sheets more useful. Say the letter’s sound out loud while coloring, and trace the outline letter with a finger before you color it. Color all the vowels (A, E, I, O, U) in one color so they stand out on the page. You can also make a letter-of-the-week booklet by printing one letter each week and keeping the sheets together.
Is it free, and do I need to sign up?
Yes, the tool is free and you do not need to sign up or create an account. It runs in your web browser, and nothing is uploaded or sent to a server. Pictures are drawn by the site’s own code when you press a button, not copied from an image collection.
Can I print on A4?
Yes. Under Page settings, set Paper to A4 instead of US Letter. The page layout follows the paper you choose, so set it before you print or download.
Can my child color it on a tablet?
Yes. Press Color it online and the same page opens in the site’s online coloring tool, which works in the browser on tablets and phones: tap a space to fill it with a color, or paint with a brush that stays inside the lines.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the background behind the letter?
Yes. Under Background, choose None, Dots, Stars or Hearts. The pattern is kept away from the letter and the picture, so the spaces to color stay clear.
Can I turn off the “A is for” caption?
Yes. Turn off Show “A is for…” words, which is on by default. You can also set Caption style to Plain text, or keep Outline letters so the caption can be colored too.
What is the difference between Rounded and Chunky letters?
Rounded is the default letter style and has real small letters. Chunky is a bolder, blockier style with capital letters only.
Can I add a name or a title to the page?
Yes. Turn on Add a name line to place a “Name: ____” line at the bottom. Use Title on the page to add optional text in big outline letters at the top.
How many pages can I make in one batch?
Set Number of pages from 1 to 30. With All 26 letters (A to Z set), each page is the next letter; with a single letter, the extra pages repeat that letter, which is handy for a class set.
How thick are the outlines?
Thin is about 0.35 mm, Medium is about 0.6 mm, and Thick is about 1 mm.
Will the lines stay sharp if I enlarge the sheet?
Yes, if you use a vector file. Download PDF and Download SVG keep sharp lines at any size. Download PNG is a fixed image, so it is best printed at its set size.
