Flower Coloring Pages Maker

Choose a rose, sunflower, bouquet or any of the flowers, switch on extra detail for older colorists, and print.

This free flower coloring pages tool makes printable coloring sheets with flowers, bouquets, pots, a vase, a wreath, a cherry blossom branch and a flower basket. It runs in your web browser and needs no sign-up, and nothing you make is uploaded. You can choose from 17 flower drawings, including roses, sunflowers, tulips, daisies and lavender, and set the detail level for young children or adults. Every picture is drawn by the site’s own code with simple black outlines and white insides, so there are no copied images or cartoon characters. Use the page to make floral coloring pages for a single child, a classroom, or a quiet afternoon of coloring for yourself.

How to make a flower coloring page

  1. Open the Picture menu and choose a flower, such as Rose or Sunflower. Leave Surprise me selected if you want a different flower each time.
  2. Under Quick styles, pick Rose, Sunflower, Bouquet, Detailed (for adults) or Whole set, 4 per page.
  3. Choose a Layout: One big picture, 2 pictures, 4 pictures, 6 pictures or Folding card.
  4. If you chose one big picture, set the Backdrop. Use Automatic, or pick a fixed one such as Garden or None.
  5. Add text if you want it. Type up to 40 characters in Headline, set Writing lines from 0 to 6, and turn on Show the picture’s name to print the name under the picture.
  6. Under Page settings, choose the paper (US Letter or A4), orientation, line weight, page border and Number of pages (1 to 30).
  7. Press Print to print only the coloring pages, Download PDF to save all pages in one file, or Color it online to color the same picture on screen.

Press New design (or the N key) to make a new page with the same settings; with Surprise me it also picks another flower. Copy link copies an address that reopens the same page. Download PNG and Download SVG save page 1 only.

Are there detailed flower coloring pages for adults?

Yes. Turn on the Extra detail (older kids and adults) check box, or choose the Detailed (for adults) quick style. This adds inner lines to the flowers: petal veins, extra petal rings and leaf veins. It also adds small dots and diamond patterns on pots, vases and baskets. These create more, smaller spaces to color, which takes more time and care.

The Detailed style also removes the backdrop, so the flower fills the page. With the check box off, you get clean shapes with fewer lines, which suits young children.

Which flowers are included?

The set has 17 pictures, all listed by name in the Picture menu: Rose, Sunflower, Tulip, Daisy, Lily, Daffodil, Poppy, Hibiscus, Lotus, Bouquet, Flower pot, Vase of flowers, Flower wreath, Cherry blossom, Lavender, Flower basket and Flower. The flowers include single blooms, a bouquet, and arrangements in pots, vases and baskets. The cherry blossom picture is a branch.

If you want every picture, choose Whole set, one picture per page. Page 1 shows the first picture, page 2 shows the next, and so on. Set Number of pages to get the whole set.

What colors should I use for a rose or sunflower?

Real roses are red, pink, white or yellow, so those are good starting choices for a rose coloring page. Real sunflowers have yellow petals with a brown center, and their leaves and stems are green. Using these colors makes the picture look like a real flower.

The outlines are only guides, so you can use any colors you like. Many people enjoy trying unusual combinations, such as a purple rose or a blue sunflower, for a playful result.

Can I make a spring coloring page?

Yes. Spring-themed flowers in the set include Tulip, Daffodil, Cherry blossom, Lavender and Daisy. Real tulips are red, yellow, pink or purple, daffodils are yellow, and cherry blossoms are pale pink.

To make the page feel like spring, choose the Garden backdrop, which adds a fence, small flowers and butterflies. Then type a headline such as “Spring Flowers” in the Headline box. The headline appears in big outline letters at the top.

Is it free and printable?

Yes. The tool is free, requires no sign-up and runs in your web browser. Press Print to print only the coloring pages. Press Download PDF to save all pages as one vector PDF, which you can print later.

You can choose US Letter or A4 paper, and portrait or landscape orientation. Each page you make gets its own random choice of picture, and all pages go into one PDF or one print job.

Can I color it online?

Yes. Press Color it online to open the same picture in the site’s online coloring tool. This is useful if you want to color on a phone, tablet or computer without printing anything.

If you want to return to the same picture later, press Copy link and save the address it copies.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a bouquet coloring page with the flower name on it?

Yes. Choose Bouquet in the Picture menu, then turn on Show the picture’s name. The word appears under the picture in big outline letters, which helps children who are learning to read.

What is the difference between Print and Download PDF?

Print sends only the coloring pages to your printer. Download PDF saves all pages in one file, so you can print them now or later.

How do I make a flower card?

Choose Folding card in the Layout menu. The sheet is split by a dashed fold line. One half has the picture and headline, and the other half has “To:” and “From:” lines and a box for a message.

How many flower pages can I make at once?

Set Number of pages from 1 to 30 under Page settings. Each page gets its own random choice, and all pages go into one PDF or one print job.

What do Line weight and Page border change?

Line weight sets the outlines to Thin, Medium or Thick. Thick lines are easier for young children to color inside. Page border can be None, Line, Rounded or Double.

Why did my flower picture change?

By default, the Picture menu is set to Surprise me, and each press of New design picks another picture. To keep the same flower, choose a named picture from the menu, such as Rose.

Can I make flower coloring sheets with my own words?

Yes. Type up to 40 characters in Headline to put your own words in big outline letters at the top. Set Writing lines from 0 to 6 to add handwriting lines under the picture.
