Happy Birthday Coloring Pages Maker

Type a name and age, pick a cake, balloons, party scene or card, and print.

The Happy Birthday Coloring Page Maker makes printable birthday coloring pages right in your web browser. It is free and needs no sign-up. You type a name, optionally add an age, and pick a birthday picture such as a cake, balloons, a party scene or a folding card. Each page is drawn fresh by the site’s code when you press a button, so you can make a unique happy birthday coloring sheet for a parent, grandparent, friend or classmate. You can print the pages, download them as PDF, PNG or SVG, or color them online. Children often color a page as a birthday gift, and one page per guest works well as a party activity.

How to use the Happy Birthday Coloring Page Maker

Follow these steps to make a birthday coloring page for someone special.

  1. Type a name in Name (Happy Birthday to…). It can be up to 24 characters, such as Mom, Dad, Grandma or Emma.
  2. Set Age on the page from 0 to 100. Leave it at 0 if you do not want a number.
  3. Choose a Picture: Birthday cake (the default), Balloons, Party scene or Folding card.
  4. Pick a Letter style, Chunky (the default) or Rounded. Keep Confetti around the page on, or turn it off.
  5. Open Page settings and choose the Paper (US Letter or A4) and Orientation (Portrait or Landscape).
  6. Choose a Line weight: Thin, Medium or Thick.
  7. Optionally pick a Page border, add a Title on the page, or turn on Add a name line.
  8. Set Number of pages from 1 to 30 if you need several copies.
  9. Press New design (or the N key) to scatter the confetti differently.
  10. Press Print, or choose Download PDF, Download PNG or Download SVG.

The quick styles For Mom, For Dad and For Grandma fill in the name for you, and For a friend uses an example of Emma, age 7. Print prints only the picture pages, one picture per sheet. Copy link copies a web address that holds your settings and design number, so the same picture opens again. Color it online opens the same picture in the site’s online coloring tool.

How do I put a name and age on a birthday coloring page?

Type the name into the Name (Happy Birthday to…) box, and it will appear on the page with “Happy Birthday.” The box holds up to 24 characters, so short names and nicknames both fit. To add an age, set Age on the page to a number from 1 to 100, and it appears as a big outline number. Set it to 0 if you want no number on the page.

Can I make a birthday card to color?

Yes. Choose Folding card under Picture. The sheet is split by a fold line. One half is the card front, with Happy Birthday, the name, the age and a cake. The other half has writing lines and a “With love,” signature line. Set Orientation to Landscape, print the sheet, and fold it in half along the line. This makes a birthday card coloring page that is ready to give.

How many candles are on the cake?

The number of candles follows the age you set. For ages 1 to 10, there is one candle for each year, so age 7 gets 7 candles. For ages over 10, the cake has 5 candles. When no age is set, the cake has 3 candles. The candle count is fixed by these rules, so the same age always gives the same number of candles.

Which pictures can I choose?

There are four options under Picture. Birthday cake is the default and has a single cake to color. Balloons shows a bunch of five balloons. Party scene includes bunting, a party hat, a gift and a cupcake, which gives more shapes to fill. Folding card splits the sheet into a card front and a writing side.

Is it free and do I need to sign up?

Yes, the tool is free, and you do not need to sign up or create an account. It runs in your web browser. Nothing is uploaded or sent to a server, and every picture is drawn by the site’s own code when you press a button. Nothing is copied from an image collection.

Can I print it on A4?

Yes. Under Page settings, set Paper to A4 instead of US Letter, then press Print. Printing sends only the picture pages, one picture per sheet. If you want a file to print later, Download PDF saves all your pages in one vector PDF, which keeps lines sharp at any size.

Can I color it online and send it?

Press Color it online to open the same picture in the site’s online coloring tool, so you can color on screen. This tool has no built-in option for sending a page to someone. To share it yourself, download the PDF or PNG and attach it to a message, or use Copy link to pass on a web address that opens the same design.

Frequently asked questions

Which line weight should I choose for young children?

Choose Thick, which has outline strokes of about 1 mm. Thick lines suit young children and markers. Thin lines, about 0.35 mm, suit colored pencils and fine detail, and Medium, about 0.6 mm, sits between the two.

Can every space on the page be colored?

Yes. Every closed shape has a white inside, so you can use crayons, colored pencils or markers anywhere on the page.

Can I make several pages at once?

Yes. Set Number of pages from 1 to 30 to print one page per guest in one go; with confetti on, it is scattered differently on each page.

Can I add a title or a name line?

Yes. Title on the page adds optional text in big outline letters at the top. Add a name line puts a “Name: ____” line at the bottom, which is useful for a child to write their name.

What page border options are there?

You can choose None, Line, Rounded or Double for the Page border.

Can I get the same picture back later?

Yes. Copy link saves a web address that holds your settings and design number, so the same picture opens again. Save the link if you want to return to a design.

Which file type should I download?

Download PDF for printing, since it keeps lines sharp at any size. Download PNG saves page 1 as an image, and for US Letter it is 2550 × 3300 pixels, which is 300 dpi. Download SVG saves page 1 as a vector file.
