Make your own printable coloring pages

Printable Number Coloring Pages

Choose a number or a 1–10 / 0–20 pack; small numbers come with ten-frames of pictures to count.

This free tool makes printable number coloring pages right in your web browser. Pick a number from 0 to 100 and it draws a huge outline numeral, its English word, and, for numbers up to 20, a counting area with exactly that many small pictures to color. There is no sign-up, and nothing you make is uploaded or sent to a server.

Every picture is drawn by the site’s own code when you press a button, so each design is new. You can make a single number coloring sheet for a child, or a full set of numbers 1 to 10 or 0 to 20 in one run. The pages work for number coloring sheets at home or in a classroom, and you can print them on US Letter or A4 paper.

How to make number coloring pages

  1. Choose the number. Enter any whole number from 0 to 100 in the ‘Number’ setting, or pick ‘Pack 1 to 10 (10 pages)’ or ‘Pack 0 to 20 (21 pages)’. The Quick styles ‘Numbers 1–10 pack’ and ‘Numbers 0–20 pack’ set the same page counts for you.
  2. Choose the extras. Leave ‘Show the number word’ and ‘Counting boxes to color (up to 20)’ on if you want them. Pick a ‘Count these’ picture such as Stars, Balloons or Fish, and a ‘Letter style’ of Chunky or Rounded.
  3. Open ‘Page settings’. Choose Paper (US Letter or A4), Orientation (Portrait or Landscape), Line weight (Thin, Medium or Thick) and Page border (None, Line, Rounded or Double). Optionally type a ‘Title on the page’ and turn on ‘Add a name line’. Set ‘Number of pages’ from 1 to 30.
  4. Press ‘Print’ to print only the picture pages, one picture per sheet, or press ‘Download PDF’ to save all pages in one file.

‘Download PNG’ saves page 1 as an image, and ‘Download SVG’ saves page 1 as a vector file. ‘Copy link’ copies a web address that holds your settings and design number, so the same picture opens again. ‘Color it online’ opens the same picture in the site’s online coloring tool.

How do I print numbers 1 to 10 or 0 to 20 at once?

Use a pack. Choose ‘Pack 1 to 10 (10 pages)’ for numbers 1 to 10, or ‘Pack 0 to 20 (21 pages)’ for numbers 0 to 20, and the tool makes every page in one run. Each page shows the next number, so the set runs in order.

The Quick styles ‘Numbers 1–10 pack’ and ‘Numbers 0–20 pack’ do the same job with one click. Download the set as one PDF so the pages stay in order.

Which numbers can I make?

Any whole number from 0 to 100 works. Numbers up to 20 get the full layout: a big outline numeral, its word, and a counting area with matching pictures. Above 20, the page shows the number and its word only, because the counting boxes stop at 20.

For example, 7 shows ‘seven’ and 7 stars in one ten-frame. The number 14 shows ‘fourteen’ and two ten-frames, which is 10 plus 4. The number 18 shows ’eighteen’, and 100 shows ‘one hundred’ with no counting boxes. The number 0 shows an empty ten-frame.

How do the counting boxes work?

The counting boxes are ten-frames, which are grids of 2 rows by 5 squares. Each square holds one picture to color. With ‘Counting boxes to color (up to 20)’ turned on, numbers 1 to 10 get one ten-frame and numbers 11 to 20 get two.

A ten-frame lets a child see a number as ‘five and some more’ and as part of ten. Because the frame shows a full row of five, it is easy to check the count at a glance.

How can number pages help children learn to count?

Coloring one picture at a time gives a child a clear way to count objects. Each picture is a separate closed shape, so the child colors it, then says its number, then moves to the next one.

The numeral and its word sit on the same page, which links the written digit to the name a child says aloud. Line weight matters too: thick lines (about 1 mm) suit young children and markers, while thin lines (about 0.35 mm) suit colored pencils and fine detail.

Is it free and do I need to sign up?

Yes. The tool is free and needs no sign-up. It runs in your web browser, and nothing is uploaded or sent to a server.

Every picture is drawn by the site’s own code, not copied from an image collection. That means you do not need to search for a picture or check its license before you print.

Can I print on A4?

Yes. Under ‘Page settings’, set Paper to A4 instead of US Letter. You can use Portrait or Landscape with either paper size.

Press ‘Print’ to send one picture per sheet to your printer. Press ‘Download PDF’ to save all pages as vector files, which stay sharp at any size. ‘Download PNG’ saves page 1 as an image, and at US Letter size that image is 2550 × 3300 pixels (300 dpi).

Frequently asked questions

Can I choose which picture goes in the counting boxes?

Yes. Pick one of the ‘Count these’ options: Stars, Hearts, Balloons, Apples, Fish, Flowers, Butterflies or Suns. The counting boxes then hold that picture.

How do I add a title to my number coloring page?

Turn on ‘Title on the page’ and type your text. It is drawn in big outline letters at the top of the page.

Can I add a place for a name?

Yes. Turn on ‘Add a name line’ to put a ‘Name: ____’ line at the bottom of the page.

How many pages can I make in one go?

Set ‘Number of pages’ to any value from 1 to 30. With a pack, each page is the next number; with a single number, the extra pages repeat it, which is handy for a whole class.

Can I color the page on a screen instead of on paper?

Yes. Press ‘Color it online’ to open the same picture in the site’s online coloring tool.

How can I come back to the same picture later?

Press ‘Copy link’ and save the address. It holds your settings and design number, so the same picture opens again.

Which download should I choose?

Choose ‘Download PDF’ if you want every page in one file with sharp lines at any size. Choose ‘Download SVG’ or ‘Download PNG’ if you only need page 1 as a single file.
