Pumpkin Coloring Pages Maker

Every press of New design carves a new jack-o'-lantern face. Add a pumpkin patch, or switch to Halloween pictures.

This free maker draws pumpkin coloring pages in your web browser, with no sign-up. The jack-o’-lantern designer carves a new face every time you press New design, so each jack o lantern coloring page is different. You can also make a cute pumpkin coloring page, a blank pumpkin printable to draw your own face on, up to six pumpkins on one sheet, or a pumpkin patch scene with a fence, vines and a moon.

For other Halloween coloring pages, switch to the Halloween pictures: 17 friendly drawings including a bat, a ghost, a witch, a black cat, a haunted house and candy corn, with “Happy Halloween” in big outline letters at the top. Every page uses simple black outlines with white insides, ready to print or color online, and nothing is uploaded from your device.

How to make a pumpkin coloring page

  1. Pick a design type at the top of the page. “Jack-o’-lantern designer” is the default. “Halloween” gives you the 17 pictures.
  2. In the designer, set Pumpkins per page to 1, 2, 4 or 6. Then choose a Pumpkin shape: Surprise me, Round, Tall, Wide or Squat.
  3. Choose a Face: Surprise me, Happy, Cute, Spooky, Silly, Surprised, or Blank (draw your own face).
  4. Choose a Stem: “Stem with leaf and vine” or “Plain stem”.
  5. To add a scene, turn on Pumpkin patch scene (1 or 2 pumpkins). It adds ground, a fence, vines, small pumpkins, a moon, stars and sometimes a bat or a peeking ghost.
  6. In Halloween mode, pick a Layout: one big picture, 2, 4, or 6 per page, or a folding card. The backdrop is automatic unless you pick one under Backdrop. Keep “Show the greeting” on for the “Happy Halloween” headline, or turn it off.
  7. Open Page settings to set the paper (US Letter or A4), orientation, line weight, page border, an optional title, a name line, and the number of pages (1 to 30).
  8. Press New design (or the N key) to draw a new version with the same settings.

Quick styles give you a one-click start: Blank pumpkin (draw your own face), Pumpkin patch scene, 6 pumpkins per page, Ghost, Witch and Bat. Use Print to print only the coloring pages. Download PDF saves all pages as one vector PDF, while Download PNG and Download SVG save page 1 only. Copy link gives you an address that reopens the same page.

Can I make a blank pumpkin to draw my own face?

Yes. Set Face to “Blank (draw your own face)” and the pumpkin is drawn with no carved shapes, so the whole face area is open for you to design. You can draw it with a pencil, crayons or markers. The blank layout works well for practicing a design before you try it on a real pumpkin. Draw the face on paper first, then copy it onto a real pumpkin.

How many faces are there?

The designer builds each face from separate eye, nose and mouth shapes, so the total number of possible faces is large. Eyes can be triangles, circles, half-moons, stars, hearts or slanted angry eyes. Mouths can be a smile with teeth, a zigzag grin, an “o” or friendly fangs. The rib count also changes, from 3 to 9. Each press of New design mixes these parts again, so you will rarely see the same face twice. The carved holes are separate spaces, so you can color them yellow like candlelight.

Are the Halloween pictures scary?

No. All 17 Halloween pictures are friendly and cute, and none of them are gory. The set includes a ghost, a skeleton, a spider, a haunted house and a black cat, all drawn in a playful style. Most pictures sit on a night sky with a moon and stars, while the pumpkin and the scarecrow appear on a farm backdrop. The pumpkin patch scene can add a bat or a peeking ghost, but these are also drawn in a simple, friendly way.

Can I put several pumpkins on one page?

Yes, but the limit depends on the mode you use. In the designer, Pumpkins per page offers 1, 2, 4 or 6 pumpkins. The “6 pumpkins per page” quick style sets this for you. The pumpkin patch scene works with only 1 or 2 pumpkins, and adds smaller pumpkins around them. In Halloween mode, Layout offers 2, 4 or 6 pictures per page.

Is it free?

Yes. The tool is free to use and needs no account. Every picture is drawn by the site’s own code, with simple black outlines and white insides. No images are copied from other websites or picture collections, and there are no cartoon characters from films or TV. This means the pages do not include anyone else’s artwork.

Can I color it online?

Yes. Click Color it online to open the same picture in the site’s online coloring tool. You can color directly on the screen without printing first. This is handy if you want to test colors before printing a full set of pages.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add my name or a title to the page?

Yes. Turn on “Add a name line” to print a space for a name. You can also type text into “Title on the page” to show big outline letters at the top of the sheet. Both options are in Page settings.

Which paper size and orientation should I pick?

Choose US Letter or A4 under Paper, then pick Portrait or Landscape under Orientation. Match the paper size to the paper in your printer.

Can I add a border around the picture?

Yes. Page border offers None, Line, Rounded or Double. A border frames the picture and can make a page look more finished.

Which line weight is best for young children?

Thick lines are easier for young children to color inside without going over the edges. Thin lines suit older children and adults who like more detail. Medium sits between the two. You can change this in Page settings at any time.

How do I make many pages at once?

Set Number of pages to a value from 1 to 30. Each page gets its own random choice, so you get a varied set. All pages go into one PDF or one print job.

What does the folding card layout do?

The folding card layout arranges the Halloween picture so that it folds into a card. Use it to make a simple greeting-style handout. This layout is available only in Halloween mode.

Does the greeting on the Halloween pictures stay on?

It does by default. The “Show the greeting” option puts a “Happy Halloween” headline on the page. Turn it off if you want a picture with no text.
