How to make a Thanksgiving turkey coloring page
- Pick a Quick style. Choose “Turkey” for a turkey page, or “I am thankful for…” for a page with writing lines.
- Open the Picture menu and choose Turkey or Baby turkey. To get a different drawing each time, leave “Surprise me” selected.
- Choose a Layout: One big picture, 2 pictures, 4 pictures, 6 pictures, or Folding card.
- If you chose One big picture, pick a Backdrop, or leave it on Automatic.
- Type a Headline of up to 40 characters, or untick “Show the greeting” to remove the default “Happy Thanksgiving”.
- Set Writing lines from 0 to 6. Turn on “Show the picture’s name” if a child is learning to read the word.
- Under Page settings, choose Paper (US Letter or A4), Orientation, Line weight, Page border, and Number of pages.
- Press “New design” (or the N key) to get a new page with the same settings.
- Press Print to print the coloring pages, Download PDF to save all pages in one file, or “Color it online” to color the same picture on screen.
To get every drawing in the set, choose “Whole set, one picture per page” in the Picture menu and set Number of pages. “Copy link” saves an address that reopens the same page.
How do I make an ‘I am thankful for’ page?
An “I am thankful for” page is a coloring picture with space for a child to write what they are grateful for. Click the Quick style “I am thankful for…” and the tool sets the headline to “I am thankful for” and adds 4 writing lines under the picture. That style is only a set of starting choices, so you can change the Headline or the number of Writing lines afterward.
Can kids write on the page?
Yes. The writing lines are printed on the same sheet as the picture, directly under it, so the child colors and writes on one page. The default is 4 lines, and Writing lines accepts anything from 0 to 6. Writing lines are added with the One big picture and Folding card layouts. Turn on “Add a name line” under Page settings if the child should also sign their name.
Can I make place cards or a card?
For a card, use the Folding card layout. The sheet is split by a dashed fold line: one half has the picture and headline, and the other half has “To:” and “From:” lines and a box for a message. Print or save the page, color it, and fold it on the dashed line. The tool has no separate place-card layout. For a name on each card, type it into “Title on the page” and print one page per guest, using Number of pages to set how many you need.
Why are the turkey pictures simple outlines?
Each picture uses simple black outlines with white insides, which keeps the lines clear for crayons, markers and pencils. The turkey’s tail is a big fan of feathers, and each feather has its own space, so a child can give every feather a different color. “Line weight” set to Thin, Medium or Thick changes how heavy the outlines print, which can help younger children who are coloring inside lines for the first time.
What is a cornucopia on a Thanksgiving coloring page?
A cornucopia, also called a horn of plenty, is a basket shaped like a horn that spills out fruit and vegetables. It is a symbol of a rich harvest, which is why it appears on many Thanksgiving pages. The tool draws it as a cornucopia spilling fruit, and you can pick it from the Picture menu.
Is it free?
Yes. The tool is free and needs no sign-up. Download PDF saves all pages as one vector PDF, while Download PNG and Download SVG save page 1 only. Because nothing is uploaded, your settings and drawings stay on your own device.
Can I color it online?
Yes. Press “Color it online” to open the same picture in the site’s online coloring tool. Use Print or Download PDF if you prefer to color on paper.
